The game is set when China and North Korea set up a blockade at the Yellow Sea, arguing that Japan violated its constitution after World War II. At this time, the United States sent its most modern ship to stop China and North Korea. At the same time, they sent their top agent, Sam Fisher, to infiltrate the bases of the opposing sides to investigate their conspiracy. As Sam Fisher, you will take on missions from your superior and single-handedly raid the enemy’s base. This section brings a significant improvement to the gameplay when you now need to avoid being heard, besides being seen. The noise of a character will be measured and compared to the noise of the surroundings, if the noise you make is greater than the environment, you will be detected by the enemy. Another noticeable change is that when you leave an area, the game will scan the previous area, if you leave too many traces, it will be highly likely to be detected.

Coming exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS™, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D is the highly anticipated handheld game in the multimillion-selling Splinter Cell series and one of the most critically acclaimed franchises of all time. Sam Fisher is sent behind enemy lines in the Korean Peninsula to prevent WWIII, by investigating the responsible party that sunk the USS Clarence E Walsh, U.S.’s most advanced cruiser. Through his investigation, Sam learns that the key parties who are planning to use the Masse Kernels to launch WWIII are war comrade Douglas Shetland, Displace International, and Admiral Otomo, the Third Echelon Information Self Defense Force (I-SDF) contact. The cutting-edge hardware of the new Nintendo 3DS™ allows Splinter Cell fans to play in immersive 3D and the ability to interact with the game like nothing before.
